Went for Acupuncture last night. Recently I've had this overwhelming desire to go and have some but I couldn't really tell you why. There weren't as many needles involved as I thought and they weren't all on my back but in my stomach and legs. I wouldn't say it was relaxing but I could feel all the points tingling and sensations from the needles. The acupuncturist also took a much more thorough set of notes on my current health then any doctor would. Here's a blurb on it for the uninitiated.

Traditional acupuncture is an holistic healthcare system that regards pain and illness, whether physical or mental, to be a sign that the body is out of balance. Because traditional acupuncture considers every bodily function to be connected and interdependent, it recognises the role emotions play in illness and disease. The overall aim of treatment is to restore the body's equilibrium. By inserting ultra-fine, sterile needles into specific acupuncture points, a traditional acupuncturist seeks to re-establish the free flow of qi to restore balance and trigger the body's natural healing response.

The Observer Polaroid Project

The last Polaroid films expire next month. The Observer gave eight of today's leading photographers a Polaroid camera for a day and asked them to capture their final instant images.

Omar Hraib Drawings

I like this guys work too. I think I found a link whilst looking at photos of Esser who appeared in our magazine and whom I'd never heard of. It's difficult keepin up with the kids these days. Anyway Omar is an illustrator living in London who says he likes working with photography, pencils, pens and computers. Mel Kadel Drawings

Love this artists work. I'm not saying I'm anywhere near this standard of drawing but I like that there seem to be similarities in the the thoughts and images that might lurk in the dark parts of our brains. I like the way she uses hair to create other shapes and forms. I love that weird tinder box thing happening with the suitcase with all the fabrics floating out. Moon

The last week off in my road to recovery and I actually used the time for something creative. Tom and I went to see Moon with Sam Rockwell. It was really good, very spooky and apparently made on a low budget. I won't go into the story at all because it could spoil it for you. I wasn't expecting the storyline I got having watched the trailer beforehand.

Kevin Spacey as the robot is very spooky and you can't tell for ages whether he's a goodie or a baddie. The set is great and Sam Rockwell plays the disheveled role very well. It's funny in parts, gripping in others and at the end there's a really poignant sad bit. Oooh a whole range of emotions for you! It's a must see and I recommend it.
