Christian Faur's Crayon Art

Christian Faur created the pixel work which is composed of hundreds of different colored crayons. He assembles more than 1000,000 hand crayons of his own shades.
From his artists statement "The things that inspire me to create, I find, are buried deep within the structures and systems that form the underpinning of our natural world. My studies in the natural sciences have made me aware of these hidden layers of complexity present in even the simplest objects. These invisible layers are seen most clearly through the lens of logic, which is used to decipher the underlying rules and laws that govern the physical world."

Giles Deacon Spring 2010

I love the neon pink and citrus colours in this collection and the fitted and detailed dresses are now definitely on my dream wardrobe list. Showing in Paris Deacon said, "You have to make it more concise here," he said. "I just wanted to do more real-life, obtainable clothes." With shades of Scooby Doo silliness the accessories are really fun and the Dinosaur Bag is too cute for school!!! With all the spiders and silver, it's got me all inspired for Halloween.

Just want it!
