Andrzej Dragan Photography

I just stumbled across this website and couldn't help look through his entire folio. Very spooky and unsettling portraits. Gorgeous use of photoshoppery. I've included a few of his advertising shots as well as personal work. Andrzej apparently works at the University of Warsaw as a lecturer but also has an impressive list of photographic awards and nominations. His advertising clients include Xbox, Playsataion, Play and Converse.

What I'm reading now...

I'm currently reading Crocodile Soup by Julia Darling a story about Gert, a museum Egyptologist, who whilst telling us of her present troubled situation (with love and life) recounts her weird and wonderful childhood. There are mouthfuls of beautiful words in the book and it's so descriptive that it's almost like poetry. The chapters are nice and short which I always prefer as a "just one chapter before bed" type reader. It's laugh out loud funny and very clever. Not bad for a book I nicked from a holiday villa. Oh and the cover is brilliant!

Rilakkuma

Here it is. My new obsession after The Moomins. Rilakkuma!! It's essentially the 5 year old in me desperate for a cuddly toy. It's getting a little bit like all the every day objects I need have to have a face!

Bengt Fashion

My friends Sereena and Eva launched their online fashion store last night with drinks and music at the Ideas Generation Gallery in Shoreditch. We were treated to a catwalk show with some gorgeous models decked out in the designs you can buy at www.bengtfashion.com from today! My favourites were the feather necklaces by Carole Gould and the Red Romper Suit by Polly Storm Wilkinson. Check out the site for loads more dresses, accessories and knitwear. Catwalk pics to follow shortly taken by my own fair hands. I got roped in so it was back to the old school for me when the camera was thrust into my sweating palms! Nerve wracking or what.
